What Makes Flowers of the World so unique and special to Paddington?
“We are a florist first and foremost, however after a lifetime lived with flowers we have concluded that the purpose of a florist is to keep people connected with Nature. To honour that purpose we have chosen to only sell locally grown flowers and plants. We do not use plastic floral foam and apply as many nature friendly habits as possible. We can only hope that using our love for nature and an endless creative zest with natural products can inspire clients to follow suit and adopt nature friendly habits. Even having an empty vase is a suggestion of nature. Flowers are the smile of the Earth and food for the soul, they smile the same in every language.
Community is what we love about Paddington, the preservation of the original Brisbane character in Paddington is the best foundation for strong communal bonds. As a florist we sell an emotion and use the flowers to express this emotion in material form. We have become an integral part of people’s lives and the special occasions in their lives. We are privileged to celebrate birth, weddings, formals, engagements, birthdays and even death with so many families through flowers. Friendships through flowers, we call that special bond, we have developed with so many people in Paddington and surrounding areas.”
Situated in Paddington since 2017, Flowers of the World have thrived and have an amazing selection of seasonal flowers and arrangements. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner we strongly recommend you pay a visit to Anja and Alicia to find something beautiful for that special someone.
